Ferrex 150 mg Iron Polysaccharide Complex Capsules by Breckenridge Used to prevent and treat iron deficiency. FERREX-150. 18099 Ferrex -150 Capsules are exactly as directed on the package, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. It is best absorbed on an empty stomach, but can be taken with food if your stomach is bothersome. Do not take within 1 hour before or 2 hours after antacids, eggs, whole-grain breads, cereals, dairy products, tea, or coffee. Take capsules with a full glass (8 oz.230 ml) of water. Do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this medicine. Store this medication at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light. If you miss a dose of this medication, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at the same time. Follow the dietary plan provided by your doctor. Do not share this medication with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medication for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. If you use this medication for a long period of time, get refills before your supply runs out.
