High-absorption Iron Bisglycinate with vitamin C has been expertly formulated to support iron levels without the negative side effects associated with standard iron supplements, which are often poorly absorbed. Compounds in the diet including fibre, polyphenols and phytates can bind to iron and inhibit its absorption. To overcome this, we use the gentle chelated bisglycinate form which has higher bioavailability – up to 90% more than other forms. Iron bisglycinate is absorbed approximately 4x better than ferrous sulphate and sustains iron levels for longer. Targeted release in the small intestine*

Iron absorption occurs in the duodenum, a section of the small intestine immediately after the stomach. Iron supplements are often provided with slow-release technology but may not dissolve in time for absorption to occur in the duodenum. Any unabsorbed iron can lead to the production of free radicals and reactive oxygen species. Our iron formulation uses targeted-release technology to deliver iron directly to the duodenum for maximum absorption.*
