Can this device connect to my home 5G Wi-Fi?

No, this device only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi. It does not support 5G Wi-Fi. Please confirm your home Wi-Fi before using. You can check whether it is 2.4G or 5G on your router. And if it is 5G Wi-Fi, the original Wi-Fi name will be marked with 5G.

Do I need to install the app on my phone? Where can I download it?

Yes. You can download the App by scanning the Q-R code on the back of the receiver and in the user guide.
